Consignment Policies

Merchandise is accepted by appointment only.

• We consign quality women's clothing.
• We must be able to accept a minimum of 15 items. You may bring up to 30 items per appointment.
• All merchandise must be:
  • Clean (freshly laundered or dry-cleaned)
  • Current style (less than 5 years old)
  • Ready-to-wear condition (no stains, open seams, etc.)
• Clothing must be marked with proper size. Hint: masking tape works well.
• Clothing must arrive on hangers. Your hangers will be returned to you during your appointment.
• NEXT TO NEW has the right to reject any item.
• NEXT TO NEW will determine the selling price of all articles.
• A printout of your items (sold & unsold) will accompany your check. Please consider making your own list before each appointment.
• There will be a $2.00 handling charge deducted from each consignment check.

Your merchandise is displayed on the sales floor for 2 months. At that time you will receive a check for 40% of all merchandise sold. Your check and any unsold items will be held in the shop for 1 week. If not picked up during that week, your check will be sent to your address and the unsold items become the property of NEXT TO NEW.
